"I knew I had
to do something about my weight when the physical activities that I love
to do, like home repairs, yard work, and basketball, were getting more
difficult. I became winded easily and felt bloated. My wife and I
decided to give TOPS a try. From the information we received at
meetings, we began eating healthier meals prepared at home. The group
support was also a helpful motivator. I also found a community fitness
program at Wichita State University, led by the track coach, providing
cardio, and strength fitness at a “go at your own pace” style. The group
challenges its participants to improve as their capabilities allow and
I’m now running in road races."
