21.5 Pounds lost
While working at Memorial Hospital as a volunteer, I was befriended
by other volunteers who just so happened to be TOPS®members. They
shared their ideas about healthy eating with me, and made joining
TOPS®sound like a lot of fun. I knew that I needed the support and
accountability that came with weekly weigh-ins.
Having just lost my mother in May 2006 and wanting to make the most
of my retirement years, I joined TOPS®in the summer of '06. The
encouragement and support I received has made all the difference,
and without complicated or expensive diets I have lost over 30
pounds.
Though I had to cook regular meals for my family, I found a way to
incorporate the things I learned at TOPS®into my own meals to better
my lifestyle.
I feel God has blessed me with great TOPS®friends who have helped me
to become healthier and feel better about myself. I am so grateful
for the encouragement that TOPS®gave me to overcome my frustrations
and sense of failure. |

15.5 Pounds lost
I have been a member of my local TOPS®chapter for three years now,
and it has not been an easy journey. However, knowing that I have
the support of my fellow chapter members helps to make the journey a
little easier.
I want to thank my chapter's weight recorder, Manuela Hinojosa, as
well as our leader, Mary Lunsford, my grandmother, and especially
Patricia Muniz, because without their love and support I would not
have made it this far. |

70.5 Pounds lost
For almost 18 years I have been a cross country truck driver. In
that time, my weight grew to a whopping 410 pounds and I could
hardly breathe, let alone walk, without gasping for air. My daughter
was so afraid that I would die. My blood pressure went up, forcing
me to stop driving trucks. I returned home, saw my doctor, and
rejoined TOPS®.
Now 70 pounds lighter, I am able to walk and breathe much easier,
and I even attend an exercise club each morning. I give much of my
thanks to the Lumberton Group, for without their love and support I
don't think I could have made it on my own.

30.5 Pounds lost
I decided that it was finally time to get busy and lose weight when
my legs began to give out. I realized that if I didn't do something
soon, the people I love would be forced to push me around in a
wheelchair.
When my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year, I devoted
all of my time and attention to caring for his needs instead of my
own. But this time, with the help of my family and all of my TOPS®friends, whom I love very much, I'm headed for success.

67 Pounds lost
Losing weight has changed my life, and the shell that has surrounded
my life has been removed. I live life to the fullest now, and enjoy
all of the things I couldn't do before. I love to walk, and
breathing is no longer such a chore.
I will work hard to continue my new lifestyle and keep off the
weight I have lost. I have finally learned to love myself, which
shows through my personality and actions
