Dear Chapters –
Another year has gone by and I hope that you were able to report a loss for 2009. The nice thing about the New Year – is we have a fresh start, as to say - another chance, to achieve our goals. For some reason turning the calendar but one page can make a difference in our attitudes, strategies and plans for reaching our goals. So with that said – I hope that 2010 will be the year for you to achieve and/or maintain those weight loss goals.
I hope that everyone has received their December/January issue of the TOPS News and that you have already removed the new “My Day One” and have had an opportunity to review it. This will make a great chapter program – and I hope that all of you will use it in January to give you a fresh start toward your weight loss goals – whether you are losing or maintaining. It is a great tool to reinforce all of the things that we already may know – but need to be reminded of. As a reminder, carefully remove it from the TOPS News and keep in a safe place to assist you daily or whenever you need a reminder of those things that can guide you to healthy living.
This year your area captain has a wonderful new program to present to you. Make sure that you call them and schedule a visit before their calendar fills up. Remember leaders and chapter officers – you need to sign their visitation report and note the amount of your thank you gift for their visit. If you do not give them a monetary thank you (which truly helps keep their vehicles running to get to your chapter), then you must note the reason why you are not giving them a token of appreciation for the time they are giving to you, personally, with their visit. They should be thanked like any other speaker you would welcome into your chapter. Thank you to all who make this gesture so warmly to your area captain already.
Your resumes and weight charts should be on their way to your Coordinator by now and I am anxiously waiting to see who all of our winners will be this year. If 2009 was not your year for success, I hope that 2010 will be the one where you are able to achieve your personal weight loss goals.
My wishes to all for a blessed, healthy New Year –
Bev
