Hi Everyone!

It’s that time of the year when school is done and the kids are excited as summer vacation begins.  Graduation parties are well underway and Father’s Day is just around the corner.  Make sure that you are keeping on track and don’t take a vacation from TOPS during this time.  Each week no matter what time of the year, holds many challenges for us as we work towards our goals or at maintaining them.  Summer should be easier for us as the fresh fruits and vegetables are in season.  But for some reason, the picnics and other events can sabotage us adding extra calories in other ways.   So make sure that you are weighing-in and receiving the support of your fellow members by attending your weekly meetings. 

What an exciting time as we wind down from our SRDs and prepare for IRD.  Once again I am happy to say that we have several International Winners from our area and you will see them at IRD or after July on our websites.  If you were unable to attend SRD this year, check things out at our state websites.  I want to thank all of you for your warm hospitality.  My travels were very uneventful this year (I like it like that) and I arrived home safe and sound after each journey. 

Items of interest –

v  A series of four Quick’n Easy Programs can be found in the Leader Corners about “Body Image”. These can be very useful programs for your chapter. You will find them in the Leaders Corner: Meeting Ideas: Quick’n Easy Programs of TOPS website.

v  In the June issue of TOPS News – you will find chapter Program 71 that your chapter can do together.  Have everyone bring in this issue and have a little fun with the “Chapter Scavenger Hunt”. 

v  Also note the “Burni” pinette offer has been extended and a new “ITOPS” rhinestone pin is introduced and available to your chapter.  (See page 3 and page 13).

v  TOPS News is looking for articles from you for a future story about Nordic Walking.  So if you have anyone in your chapter that does this, send your stories regarding their experiences and successes – deadline is Monday, July 19^th.   They are also looking for:

o   Open House ideas, stories and results

o   "It's My Time!" theme-oriented activities, stories, and successes

o   President's Cut and Burn Challenge progress reports, updates, activities, successes, recognition efforts

o   2010 Area Captains' Program (Stress Management) stories, successes, follow-up activities

o   Workplace chapters updates, successes, ideas
