Hello everyone-
Spring should be just around the corner and for many of us – that is a long time coming. For now we need to remember that it is time for election of your chapter officers.
Just a gentle reminder to make sure that you send the L-001 Officer Chart form to your Coordinator immediately following your elections – so she may verify that all members are current and in good standing. As you prepare for your installation of officers and special recognition of chapter division winners and royalty, you may wish to use one of the special ceremonies that are posted on our website. Just go to the sidebar, click on IDEAS, and then CEREMONIES. You will find numerous installation and other types of ceremonies that you can use. And don’t forget to check out the new “Ceremonies Sourcebook” that your chapter just recently received. Make this a special time for your winners.
I am getting very excited about your upcoming SRD. Hopefully you have registered to attend and support your winners – if not from your chapter, at least your state. Your SRD committee is working very hard to make this a special event for everyone. Please make sure that you are meeting all of the required deadlines – and if you have state winners, assist them in any way that you can. Check to make sure that they have all of the necessary paperwork returned to the committee before the deadlines. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the SRD committee people listed on your SRD letter. All of this information is also on the website.
Congratulations to all of your Chapter Winners and to those who met the “GIMME FIVE” challenge. If you were not a winner this past year, make this your year to shine. Accept the “I GAVE TOPS®TEN” challenge issued to you – for a loss of 10#s in 2008. Together we can make this happen!
