Hi everyone –

Well here it is May already.  (At least that is what the calendar is saying!).  What a crazy spring we have had.  The average temperature in Wisconsin has been the normal “low” and I know many of you have been having lots of rain, winds and even fires and flooding.  I do hope all of this will pass soon and we will have that wonderful warm weather we are used to.

SRDs are in full swing now and I have had the privilege of spending time with many of you already – and look forward to those that are scheduled for May.  I have been inspired by many state winners and royalty already. 

Are you planning on attending IRD in Milwaukee, July 7^th – 9^th?  Here you will see the “best” losers in the world of TOPS.  We are busy getting things ready for your arrival, but don’t forget – you must register by the May 10^th deadline or pay an additional $ 15 fee.  Please make sure if you want to participate in any of the events (KOPS, Century, Before & After (called Remember Then this year), you will need to submit the proper registration form found in the February, 2011 issue of TOPS News or by logging in to www.tops.org and then International Recognition Days where you will find all of the forms. We want to make sure that we have everything ready for your arrival in Milwaukee.  Don’t forget about the many great tours (including the TOPS Headquarters tour) while you are in Milwaukee.  You will receive information about the tours after you have sent in your IRD registration. 

Other deadlines this month include the deadline for entries for the “Retreat Scholarship”.  That deadline would be May 31, 2011.  Information about the Imogene Welch-FloAnna Clark Retreat Scholarship can be found on page 18 of the February 2011 TOPS News issue. 

I hope that your chapter has the opportunity to use the two programs featured in the April-May issue of TOPS News.  Chapter programs 81 and 82 on Body Image are great tools for your chapter.  They have been prepared for you by Patricia Amborn (who will also be a guest speaker at IRD 2011).  Everyone gets to participate when using these great programs.

I hope that you are on the “Road to Success” in your weight loss journey - and that you bring along a friend or family member on your trip.
