Hi Everyone!

It’s official when we reach September – summer is over, the kids are back to school, and we are in the last quarter of the year.  It’s time for us to get on track if we have been struggling this year.  We have three short months to reach whatever goals we have set for the year.  As a reminder – did you:

·        Pledge to lose 10 pounds this year in the “Gimme 10” challenge?

·        Are you sharing TOPS®with your family & friends for our “All Aboard The TOPS®Train” membership promotion?  (Remember – the train can’t leave until it is full!) – As well as earning an “It’s Time to Team Up” button for you and your friend when your share the TOPS®experience.  (See the August issue of TOPS®News – this promotion goes from September 1st thru December 31st, 2008).

·        Are you charting your miles as we “Trek to IRD 2009” with President, Barb Cady?

We are excited about all of the great new things TOPS®is offering to our members.  What a great opportunity we have to share our wonderful organization with everyone and fun while we are doing it.

Some important changes that you want to know about include the following:

We are all aware of the increased costs that we face everyday at the grocery store, gas pumps, restaurants, etc., and TOPS®is no different.

We have had the same increases in energy, postage, etc.  Effective January 1, 2009 there will be a $2 increase in annual membership fees.  That is less than a penny a day, less than 4 cents a week or less than 17 cents a month.  I think of my son who always leaves pennies laying around – or people who don’t pick up pennies they drop on the ground.  A penny does make a difference.

Thanks again to all those chapters who have been sending me the report of their field staff’s visit.  It is always a pleasure to read what you have to share about your Area Captain and/or Coordinator.

Until next month – I Care

Bev
