Hi Everyone!
It’s hard to believe that
it’s September already. I truly don’t know where August went. A good part
of that time was spent in various hospitals with my husband Tony and I want
to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers and cards. It is truly a
blessing to have my extended TOPS family.
This month there are many
updates from the Board of Directors.
In November
your chapter will be receiving a new chapter manual – which is a combined
source of the Chapter Guide and Weight Recording Guide. This will be a much
more convenient resource for questions that pop up at meetings from time to
time. Two TOPS Chapter Manuals shall be mailed in November to the chapter
leader. Additional copies may be ordered on the KOPS Award and Chapter
Tools Form L-017 at a cost of $2.00 each.
In a separate
mailing also in November, the Leader will receive the Chapter Resume L-010,
two new programs and some special offers for the holiday season.
NEW…TOPS Rules
- to make certain that our new KOPS have all the information they need, the
Board of Directors has merged the TOPS and KOPS Rules into one. This will
be placed in the November issue of TOPS News. Ask all members to bring that
issue to chapter, remove the set of TOPS Rules and review them at meeting.
A new My Day
One will be a removable piece in the centerfold of the December/January TOPS
News. Also, in that same issue, a special 25th Anniversary Commemorative
Edition on the International Poundbook shall be offered at $1.50 each in
quantities of six or more while supply lasts.
Two new
pinettes and three new Italian Links are being added to our Awards and will
be featured in TOPS News in the Spring along with refreshed designs of some
current pieces.
A survey to
determine interest in a Couples’ Retreat will be in a future TOPS News.
Please, encourage all who might be interested in such an event to respond to
the survey when it appears
Remember that for every new
member your chapter has you receive another chance at the $250 cash drawing
at IRD 2010. Nothing extra for you to do – your Coordinator will be
handling all of the paperwork for you on this.
